NV NICK VERREOS.....In-Store Appearance Dillard's San Antonio Texas: Part 1 RECAP!

For the last couple of weeks I have been on a "Nick Tour" traveling around the country, promoting my NV Nick Verreos dress line at various Dillard's with In-Store Appearances and Fashion Presentations showing shoppers how they can have a FAB "Red Carpet Moment" wearing my dresses. As you may know, my NV Nick Verreos dress line is available at many Dillard's stores across the U.S.and at Dillards.com as well (so go BUY THEM!). I've been to Arizona (you can read that recap HERE), Florida and Texas. I'll have the Florida recap on a future post, but for this one, I wanted to highlight the AMAZING event I had in San Antonio Texas at the Dillard's North Star Mall, where we sold LOTS of my dresses and the Dillard's North Star execs told me that "it was one of the BEST events they'd ever had" (Love that!). I was especially excited to come to San Antonio since that is where my family--mom, dad, sister, niece and nephew--live.

It was a jam-packed three days while I was there including TV appearances, press, fittings, plus the actual event of course, so unfortunately I didn't get to spend much quality time with my family but then, there's always Christmas for that. I did, however, have the special treat of having my sister, Rita Verreos, model in my San Antonio event. Rita did an AMAZING job beforehand promoting my In-Store Visit and Event to all her friends in San Antonio and both David Paul (my NV Nick Verreos partner) and I were very, very grateful. Now, speaking of models, I was also thrilled when I found out during the fittings that one of the models, Alexandra Ahmadi,  had just been crowned Miss San Antonio USA 2013 and will represent Alamo City at the upcoming Miss Texas 2013 pageant so I was happy to have a Texan Pageant Queen....in Texas...modeling my NV Nick Verreos dresses!

L.A. Style in S.A.--Interview and wonderful write-up on my NV Nick Verreos line by Michael Quintanilla, San Antonio Express-News/mySA

My event day began wonderfully when I got up and saw the FABULOUS write-up on my dress line, event and interview in the San Antonio Express-News mySA Newspaper, written by fashion journalist, stylist and "man about town", the dashing Michael Quintanilla. I've known Michael for years and he always calls me from Texas whenever he needs good quotes during Awards Seasons and naturally, I am happy to oblige...all the way from "LA LA Land"!

Magic Host: I arrived at the North Star Mall early to host a very special Contest--the MAGIC 105.3 "Win It To Wear It" Giveaway--where one lucky MAGIC 105.3 radio listener and North Star Mall shopper would win $5,000 (!) worth of North Star Mall and The Shops at La Cantera shopping money. Before I announced the winner, I had a little fashion show, showcasing some of my NV Nick Verreos dresses that are available at the Dillard's North Star:

And The Winner Is: I had a BLAST hosting the Giveaway and announcing all the Finalists of the contest. Look at our reaction above when one of the finalists was a GUY which I had joked with in the audience earlier, telling him that if I pulled his name out of the "jar", he might have to wear one of my NV Nick Verreos dresses. He didn't win but this lovely lady did:

Shopping Winner: Nick Verreos with MAGIC 105.3 "Win It To Wear It" Giveaway winner Rita Gloria--I brought her to the Dillard's after she won so she could try on my NV Nick Verreos dresses and I helped her style the looks. She didn't buy any but hopefully she came back to buy MANY because she looked great in all of them, especially my Chartreuse draped dress as you can see above.

Top Shopper: Following my fashion presentation, we had a "Win a Free NV Nick Verreos Dress" giveaway. In order to be eligible for the contest, all you had to do is try on my NV Nick Verreos dresses. So, an hour later, I announced the winner and it was this lovely and very stylish lady above--and get this: she had ALREADY bought TWO of my dresses!!So she got one extra one for FREE!

Uncle Nick: I was happy to have my 13-year-old niece Casia (right) and 16-year-old nephew Alain at my event. Casia had a blast and she was especially wonderful taking A LOT of photos on my iPhone during my event (Be careful Casia, I might just hire you as an "unofficial staff photographer"!). Alain, my nephew (as you can see from this photo) was "over it"--I'm sure being at a Fashion Event is not really the ideal way a sixteen year old basketball-loving young man wanted to spend his Saturday (just look at his face! LOL!).

La Familia: What a "framer" as they say--here I am--with my sister Rita, my mom Raquel wearing one of my NV Nick Verreos dresses (and looking quite beautiful in it I must say!) which she bought without me even knowing it, and my dad, James Verreos--in one of his favorite Guayabera dress shirts.

Brother and Sister Fab: I was so happy to see my old, old (not in age but how long I have known him, thank you very much!) L.A. friend Erik Moreno (left) who just happened to be in town visiting his sister Tracy (right) and father who reside in San Antonio. Erik and Tracy came to the event so it was very nice to see them.

Queen Delia: Delia (above) is the Cosmetics Department manager at the Dillard's North Star and a good friend of my sister Rita and from the moment my sister told her I was coming to Dillard's North Star, she did all she could to try and make my time there as wonderful as it could be. She even bought those beautiful flowers you see to the left of me in the photo, just to make the stage look prettier (Love her!). I wanted to Thank Delia here on my BLOG for being so extra kind! Thank you Delia...

....And Thank You San Antonio Texas, and EVERYONE who came out to my event and a SPECIAL Thank You to all the wonderful ladies who bought my NV Nick Verreos dresses! I hope that you feel very special in them and that you can have you're very own "Red Carpet Moment" wearing my beautiful NV Nick Verreos dresses! I hope to come back to Texas REAL SOON for many more In-Store Dillard's events and to sell many, many more NV Nick Verreos dresses. If this very successful one in San Antonio is any indication, I have a feeling I better get my Cowboy Hat and Boots ready for more Texas visits!
